MALIDOMA! is a working studio, staffed by professional
teachers and artists in the field of traditional Drum &
Dance instruction and performance. We take great pride
in offering top quality personal instruction, as well as
world class musical instruments, instructional materials,
costuming supplies and accessories.
A note about our name:
Malidoma is a name from the Dagara people of Burkina
Faso, West Africa. Translated, Malidoma literally means to
“make a friend of a stranger.” Since 1989 we have been
doing just that, sharing music and dance traditions from
around the globe with literally thousands of students
